Hotel Koldingfjord has been given the hotel industry's own environmental label "The Green Key", which means that Hotel Koldingfjord lives up to a number of quite specific environmental requirements. The environmental label is given 1 year at a time and Hotel Koldingfjord is obligated to comply with a large number of points, including refuse sorting, minimising the consumption of heat and power, correct dosage of cleaning agents, switching off lights in the facilities and rooms that are not used... In general, it's about THINKING green and environmentally-friendly.

As a guest, this means that we have made small folders for the rooms, which explain the possibility of "recycling" disposable articles and towels. In addition, there is the folder "Green Key" in the room folder, which explains the importance of thinking about and considering the environment.

We have initiated refuse sorting for the employees at Hotel Koldingfjord of: paper, plastic, metal, batteries, cardboard and small flammable articles. All departments at Hotel Koldingfjord have been instructed in what can be done to "think green" and we also have notices hanging in the individual departments making the task easier to manage.

For the guests at Hotel Koldingfjord, we have a folder in reception which explains the environmentally-friendly activities, such as loaning of bicycles, walks, nature guides, bus routes and more. You are most welcome to come and take a look in it if you would like to know more.
