Congratulations to our talented students with their graduation caps

  June 3, 2026

At Hotel Koldingfjord we are happy to employ young people who are training to become chefs or waiters. We do this for several reasons.

21-year-old culinary student Lærke Godtliebsen and 21-year-old waiter student Oliver Christian Kolding have both received their graduation caps as EUX students from Hansenberg.

“I am very pleased that we can congratulate two super talented EUX students, who have both received excellent 10s for their main assignments,” says Peder J. Madsen, CEO at Hotel Koldingfjord.

An EUX education combines academic subjects with practical experience. This combination is sought after in the business world, the director emphasizes.

“Our industry needs young people who, with both a graduation cap and a journeyman's certificate in hand, can help develop the industry in the future,” says Peder J. Madsen.
The students alternate between school and internship at Hotel Koldingfjord.

Oliver Christian Kolding has just completed both his high school diploma and his journeyman's test as a waiter. He continues to work as a waiter at Restaurant Koldingfjord.

Lærke is still a culinary student and will take her apprenticeship test in March 2027.

“I really enjoy my work at Hotel Koldingfjord because there is good energy and many nice people. It's my first real adult job, and at first I was a little nervous, but everyone is very helpful,” says Lærke Godtliebsen.

She says that the internship provides experience that cannot be learned at school.

“I help prepare both à la carte dishes from the menu and food for large parties. The menu also changes with the seasons, so I'm constantly learning how to make new dishes,” she says.

Lærke will continue as a chef until the summer of 2027. After that, she dreams of traveling the world.
