Cold-leavened island bread
Ølandsbrød has a juicy and rich taste and is suitable for both breakfast and lunch. The dough needs to rise for a long time and is really easy to make.

300 g island wheat
700 g Manitoba wheat flour
0,5 l cold water
0,3 l buttermilk
25 g salt
30 g of yeast
Course of action
Knead all the ingredients together and place in a greased container. Then refrigerate for at least 24 hours.
Once the dough has been refrigerated, place it in molds or cut into buns, and let it rise for about 1 hour at room temperature.
Bake at 220 degrees in a preheated oven for about 25 minutes.
