Visit
This beautiful manor is situated in a natural setting, surrounded by forests on the north side of Vejle Fjord. The estate itself and the adjacent park are not open to the public, but you are welcome to take a walk in the surrounding woods.

Impressive manor house in beautiful nature

Near Rohden Ådal, between Daugård Strand and Hotel Vejlefjord, this main farm is peacefully located in the heart of a 756 ha estate. The estate has a long and interesting history, but today is larger than ever with an extensive agricultural area and forestry. It is recommended to go for a walk in the beautiful nature, through the forests, along Rohden Å, down to Vejle Fjord and not least past the beautiful manor house and the many adjacent breeding buildings. It is strictly forbidden to enter the estate itself, but you can move freely on forest paths and on Rohdenvej, from which you can get a good overview of the estate.

Rohden's story

Rohden's history dates back to 1662. At that time, the Rantzau family had just taken over the nearby property Rosenvold Castle, which is still in the family's possession today. Henrik Rantzau built Rohden as two half-farms. Only at the end of the 1800th century was the current Rohden Gods created, when Baron Flemming Lerche and Anne Sophie Lüttichau combined the two existing half-manors and built the current main building. The estate remained in the hands of the Lüttichau family until 2003, when the current owner, Anders Kirk Johansen, took over the place with a thorough renovation and beautification as a result.

The current main building from 1898 is a large, fashionable, whitewashed villa on two floors, surrounded by a park-like garden and a lake. In addition, there are a number of significant breeding buildings around the farm.

On a hike in the woods

It is not permitted to drive into the property's area by car. If you arrive by car, you can turn onto Rohdenvej from the village of Belle. After a few hundred meters there is an opportunity to park. From here you can follow Rohden Å through the woods to Vejle Fjord and go back past the manor.

On this digital map you can follow the route around the area. But make sure you stay on the trails. On the map you will also find a suggestion for a bicycle tour in the area.

If you have many kilometers in your legs, you can choose to follow the fjord to the east until you reach Træskohage Lighthouse and the historic spa roads by Hotel Vejlefjord.
