Torpedo station

In the slope after Strib Nordenbro, the Germans established during World War II twelve torpedo stations (garages) inside the slope with four smaller bunkers above for surveillance of the Belt.

The torpedoes were transported from the garages in the water along some cement tracks. From here they were then guided by cable towards a possible target in the Little Belt.
Apart from a few exercises, the torpedo stations never got into operation, and after the occupation, they were all blown away.
Today, there is a reconstruction of a torpedo garage, and you can still find the original concrete tracks.
