Go on a green discovery in Kolding's botanical oasis

Geographical Garden is a 14-hectare adventure park and botanical garden with more than 2000 different trees, shrubs and plants, which are divided into geographical areas.

Inspiring gardens

Be inspired by the Nature Garden, the Herb Garden, the Organic Kitchen Garden, the Perennial Garden and many other lovely areas. The award-winning Rose Garden is a particularly fantastic scent experience in the summer with over 5000 modern roses. In the Rosariet you can explore both historical and wild roses. In Syvdalen, exciting and wilder nature experiences await with caves, streams and chirping birdsong. If you follow the 1,8 km long Heart Path, you will also experience the rich birdlife, which helps to give the place a very special atmosphere.

Take the kids with you.

The garden is a diverse place, with space for guests of all ages. Many people use the Geographical Garden as a meeting place or as a green retreat. For children, it is particularly popular to visit the garden's playgrounds, the Bamboo Grove, the Caves and the Animal Enclosure with petting goats, rabbits, chickens, rock squirrels and ponies.

Kolding Mini Town

A very special experience is Kolding Miniby, which is a collection of 400 miniature houses that illustrate the urban environment that existed in Kolding in the period from 1860 to 1870. All houses were built by pensioners and early retirees, who are happy to tell you more.

Guided tours

The Geographical Garden's plant collection is large, old and completely unique, with large old trees, sculpted shrubs and a variety of perennials and herbs. If you visit the garden as a group, you have the opportunity to book a guided tour at a high professional level. Whether you are just curious, a botany nerd or interested in knowing more about the garden's founder Aksel Olsen, who was an exciting pioneer with many talents.

Geographical Garden is fantastic all year round and has something new to offer in every season. Throughout the season there are a multitude of events with different activities, tours, workshops, exercise, installations, markets etc.

Food and drinks

Guests are welcome to bring their own food basket and sit down at one of the many tables and benches. Otherwise, Café Lykkefund is open every day during the summer and tempts with delicacies such as coffee, tea, pastries, hot toast, organic ice cream and cold drinks.

Hold your party in the Geographical Garden

As a guest, you have the opportunity to rent Geografisk Have's cozy premises in the Greenhouse and the various pavilions for private events such as weddings, business meetings or children's birthday parties. Separate activities in our green surroundings can always be booked if you are a larger group.
